COVID-19 visitor restrictions

Visitor restrictions remain in place at all Goshen Health locations to protect patients, healthcare workers and the public from COVID-19. Thank you for helping us maintain a safe environment for all.

  • Patients and visitors will be screened at entrances
  • Wearing a mask is required at all facilities
  • Visitors must be 18 years of age or older and healthy (includes not being in quarantine)

Non-COVID-19 patients

Visitors are limited for non-COVID-19 patients.

Inpatient: two visitors per day:
  • Monday – Friday: 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.  Saturday – Sunday: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Proceed directly to patient room and exit promptly after visit to minimize time in other areas of the hospital
  • Clergy: allowed to visit
Emergency room: one visitor during stay

Outpatient surgery: one visitor during stay

Outpatient services hospital (lab, imaging, etc): one visitor if patient requires assistance

The Birthplace: two support people during stay; one approved Doula

Goshen Center for Cancer Care: one pre-approved visitor

Outpatient physician appointments: one visitor during appointment; two allowed for pediatric patients

COVID-19 patients

NO VISITORS will be allowed for COVID-19 positive patients and those pending test results.

Video or telephone communication may be utilized. Limited exceptions will be determined by the doctor and made for the following circumstances:
The Birthplace: one support person during stay; one approved Doula
End of life: pre-arranged visitors and clergy

Additional notes

  • No overnight visitors will be permitted in the hospital except for obstetrics and pediatrics
  • Extended family members and additional visitors should not congregate inside, outside picnic tables may be utilized
  • Public restrooms are not available to guests outside of the visiting policy
  • Visitors may bring in food and are responsible for delivering to the patient
