    Biography

    Emily A. Garber, RN, MSN, CPNP-PC, is a certified pediatric nurse practitioner at Goshen Physicians Pediatrics. She provides well-child care and health education, as well as the diagnosis and treatment of common pediatric acute illnesses and chronic conditions. Her previous experience in pediatric neurosurgery and neurology as a nurse practitioner and in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) as a registered nurse is an asset to her practice. Emily provides comprehensive medical care for pediatric patients, ages birth to 18 years old, including wellchild examinations that encompass age-appropriate developmental evaluation; anticipatory guidance; vaccinations; acute/illness visits involving evaluation, diagnosis and treatment. When appropriate, she makes referrals to specialists and prescribes medication. In 2012, Emily was featured in Dayton Children’s Medical Center’s quarterly publication, where she was recognized for her unique approach to managing the diagnosis of a seizure and migraine patient. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her husband and two boys.

    Emily cares for her patients with the whole family in mind. She strives to provide kind, compassionate care with understanding of family circumstances and cultural beliefs. She consciously uses a gentle, age-appropriate approach to interact with her patients. She believes a pediatric primary care practice is the medical home for a patient, guiding and directing the care in all areas of health and wellness from birth to high school graduation.

    Kevin Gerig, MD, FACS, is a board certified surgeon who works with the Gerig Surgical Associates, P.C. He is dedicated to offering his patients the highest quality and level of care while keeping them informed about the procedures he uses. Dr. Gerig received advanced training in general and vascular surgery. This training allows him to perform a wide range of surgical procedures.     Winston Gerig, MD, FACS, is a board certified surgeon who works with the Gerig Surgical Associates, P.C. He strives to make his patients feel less apprehensive and more comfortable with surgery.

    Dr. Gerig received advanced training in general, laparoscopic and bariatric surgery, which allows him to perform a wide range of surgical procedures. Dr. Gerig specializes in weight-loss surgery and has performed numerous laparoscopic gastric bypass and adjustable lap band procedures with training to perform the sleeve gastrectomy.     Dr. Rebecca Gindelberger is an obstetrician and gynecologist with Goshen Physicians OB/GYN.     Biography

    James Gingerich, MD, is a board certified family medicine doctor who serves as a hospitalist at Goshen Hospital. He manages care for patients throughout their hospital stay and coordinates communication among primary care doctors, specialists, nurses and other medical providers.
     
    Dr. Gingerich has been on the medical staff of Goshen Hospital since 1988. He also served as the Guardian of Vision at Maple City Health Care Center in Goshen for more than 30 years.
     
    Outside the hospital, Dr. Gingerich fills his life with a love of family, music, artistry and good foods. His talents range from beekeeping and bookbinding to spinning and weaving. He indulges in genealogy research and always has a good fiction read nearby.

    Rita Gingrich, LCSW, OSW-C, provides mind-body counseling support to cancer patients and their loved ones. She works with individuals, families, couples, and children to nurture and strengthen healthy coping skills with the emotional challenges and stress related to the cancer experience. Rita has worked in the human services field for over 25 years and has enjoyed a variety of work experiences.
